Kwabena Antoine Nixon is a nationally recognized author,
TEDx speaker, sought-after keynote speaker, facilitator,
spoken-word artist, educator, host, and cultural organizer
whose work lives at the intersection of storytelling, literacy,
performance, healing, and community transformation.

Born and raised on Chicago's West Side, Kwabena's life and work were
deeply shaped by losing his father to street violence at age 11. As a young
man searching for voice, identity, and purpose, he found his way through
art, culture, and community. After completing a Rites of Passage program,
he was given the name Kwabena, meaning 'Inspirator.' That name became
more than an identity - it became a responsibility.

For more than three decades, Kwabena has used poetry, storytelling,
education, and cultural organizing to engage audiences across generations. Whether delivering a keynote to hundreds, performing spoken word from the stage, facilitating an intimate circle with men and young people, or working alongside educators and community leaders, his gift is creating spaces where people can tell the truth, recognize their value, connect with one another, and move toward action.
